I'm not sure why it connects good will (balance sheet) with amortization though
Intangible assets are amortized over time. Goodwill used to be but new account rules allow you to just do an impairment check once a year instead of forcing you to amortize the goodwill. Check out this link:

Hey, I interned this summer too (but on the west coast) and your blog is a great reminder to myself of what I worked on. This is a great blog!
I have a couple of full time interviews coming up and was wondering if you could post more full-time interview questions that you were asked and how they differ from summer interviews. I'm expecting them to be more technical than summer interviews so I want to prep more.
Also, how are informational interviews? A few banks have invited me to their bank to meet with a bankers before my on-campus interviews, but I imagine that this might be awkward because I'm not very good at small talk. Any pointers?
